Why we are different?

Storing tooth cells with BioEden Asia has a number of significant advantages.

1. It is a perfectly natural process. There are twelve suitable teeth shed over a period of approximately five years, so there are many opportunities for parents to plan ahead and arrange BioEden storage for their children’s tooth cells.

2. Process itself is non-invasive and does not interfere with any other events in a child’s life.

3. Baby teeth stem cells appear to have the ability to develop into more types of body tissue than other types of stem cells. This difference opens more therapeutic applications.

4. Primary teeth contain a rich source of mesenchymal stem cells which can be used to treat heart disease, Alzheimer, Parkinson’s disease, paralysis from spinal cord injury and to grow replacement bone, cartilage and teeth.

5. Allogeneic stem cell transplant uses donor cells from a public cell bank. An autologous stem cell transplant uses the patient's own stem cells. There are many advantages of autologous transplant including; no immune reaction and tissue rejection of the cells, no immunosuppressive therapy needed, and significantly reduced risk of communicable diseases. BioEDEN only offers an autologous transplant option.

6. Tooth stem cells can potentially be used to treat conditions in first or second degree blood relatives (siblings, parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunts) in addition to the donor.

7. Finally, receiving donor material always carries the significant risk of communicable disease transmission.
